Dans quelques cas, le caractère payant peut avoir un intérêt pour éviter que les aires de stationnement ne soient occupées par des voitures, les conducteurs les utilisant comme parking relais à l’entrée des villes. Dans ce cas, il suffirait d’instituer le caractère payant au delà de 3 heures de stationnement par exemple.
Bien d’autres solutions peuvent être envisagées comme par exemple la remise d’une carte de stationnement gratuite par malade hospitalisé pour une durée supérieure à 7 jours.
Dans tous les cas, le problème qui se pose aujourd’hui au Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Bordeaux a un caractère national et des principes doivent être édictés par votre Secrétariat d’Etat à faire autorité sur les responsables locaux. On ne peut en effet concevoir que des coûts exorbitants soient imposés à des familles déjà en difficulté et qui se consacrent à un malade.
