L’intelligence n’est qu’un outil et je ne suis même pas sûre que ce soit le meilleur. Mais c’est une sorte de dénominateur nécessaire, de condition d’existence à des tas d’autres qualités, plus importantes humainement : le courage, la générosité.. . Courageux et idiot, c’est quelquefois presque dangereux, mais intelligent et pleutre, ce n’est rien.
Ce petit couplet sur l’intelligence m’est venu en voyant un article du Sud-Ouest du jour « Capucins : la halle aux candidats », illustré d’une photo d’Hugues Martin engoncé dans un T shirt « Bordeaux à cœur » discutant avec Pierre Hurmic.
Ni Pierre, ni Hugues Martin ne sont en cause. Mais qu’Alain Juppé, dont il est de bon ton de louer l’intelligence ait accepté de choisir ce slogan à la limite de la stupidité (Bordeaux à cœur : on pense immanquablement au camembert), qu’il en décore ses ex-coéquipiers démissionnaires, au point de leur donner l’allure de vieux nounours grisonnants et de soixante huitards très attardés dans le sentiment, est clairement la preuve que l’intelligence ne fonctionne quelquefois qu’à temps partiel, comme au demeurant une bonne part des travailleurs de ce pays, condamnés à ce statut peu valorisant.
« Bordeaux à cœur »… Sommes-nous devenus assez stupides pour gober un slogan aussi creux que mensonger ? Si Alain Juppé avait eu la moindre chance de devenir maire de Paris, croit-on qu’il n’aurait pas eu « Paris à cœur » ? Hugues Martin, auquel on demandait, à l’occasion d’un débat que nous avons mené l’un en face de l’autre sur TV7, « quelle était selon lui la meilleure raison de voter Martin : « Je suis le candidat de l’amour…. ». Apercevant en fond de studio, la mine soudainement déconfite de Michel Duchène, il s’était repris « de l’amour…des Bordelais ! ».
Aux Capucins donc, le juppéisme militant se porte avec T-shirt et gros cœur sur la poitrine.. J’essaye de le jouer plutôt gai, mais ça me rend terriblement triste.
